Editing for experienced, novice, and ESL writers. Send me your Word document and I'll do a thorough review to ensure consistency, clarity, and flow, while checking grammar, spelling, punctuation, and format. My changes follow your writing style, and I use Word's "track changes" feature so you can easily see every change I make.
I edit business documents, personal documents, book manuscripts, etc. I can also help with research, working in one document while pulling information from other documents or the internet.
PROOFREADING
Send me your Word document. While editing does involve some proofing along the way, editing focuses on making sure the text reads well. When proofreading, the focus is on the mechanics. I will read through your written work carefully to find and correct errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, abbreviations, spacing, and format.
TRANSCRIPTION
Send me your digital audio file and I'll send back an accurately transcribed, formatted, and edited (unless verbatim is requested) Word document. I have extensive medical and general transcription experience; also light legal. I transcribe single and multiple speakers using an HP PC, Express Scribe software, and high-quality headphones.
Also, if you want to write a book but don't have the time or desire to sit and type it, you can speak it into your audio recorder (try to keep it around 30 minutes at a time) and send the audio files to me. I'll transcribe as I receive them, and when you've sent me everything you want to say, then I'll do the editing, paying attention to times, dates, and scenes, ensuring that your story has a good flow that's easy for your readers to follow.
